“Shake, Shake It…”

My first… attempt at making a Moscow Mule

One of my all time favorite summer drinks is the Moscow Mule served in a super chilly copper mug. Yesterday, Minnesotans were graced with a gorgeous afternoon following a morning of dreary rain. In honor of the beautiful spring weather, it was only fitting to make a cool, resfreshing and delicious drink. PLUS, I was helping my girlfriend pack for her big move this weekend and who doesn’t want a drink when they are packing?!

While I do not have copper mugs… yet, I thought we would give it a go. The “recipe” calls for 2oz of vodka, 2 oz fresh squeezed lime juice and Ginger Beer; talk about simple.

Grab your vodka…

A shaker and cups

Cut some limes

Add vodka and lime juice to the shaker and “shake it, shake shake it…shake it like a polaroid picture…”

Pour into glasses over ice; add ginger beer and fresh limes to taste

Then it’s time to enjoy!

Cheers!!
